Admissions
Sambhavam focuses mainly on early intervention, supporting children up to 8 years of age and their families. Our center is located within Orange International Pre-school and Daycare in Whitefield, where individualized support can sit alongside the everyday routines, play and peer experiences of preschool.
Support shaped around your child
We get to know each child’s strengths, interests and support needs, then plan goals that are meaningful in daily life. Depending on the child and family’s needs, support may include one-to-one sessions, small-group sessions and classroom inclusion support.
Our work may focus on communication, learning, play, emotional regulation, motor skills and growing independence. The aim is to help each child participate, learn and build skills at a pace that responds to them—not to push every child through the same milestones.
A partnership with families
Parents are important partners in understanding a child’s experiences across home, preschool and therapy. We share observations, review progress and discuss next steps together. Regular parent meetings help connect what a child is practising at the center with the support they receive in everyday settings.
How admissions work
Sambhavam is based within Orange International Pre-school and Daycare. Admissions decisions are made together by the preschool and Sambhavam, with the family involved in the conversation.
We meet with the family to learn about the child, their strengths and support needs, and what the family is looking for. Sambhavam contributes its perspective on the type and level of support that may help the child participate in the preschool setting. The preschool and Sambhavam then consider this information together when making an admission decision. Final admission is granted by the preschool.
Once a child begins, Sambhavam works with the family and preschool to understand the child’s needs and plan appropriate support, including developing an Individual Education Program (IEP) where relevant.
